The ACT’s First Division encompasses teams from Canberra and its surrounding regions. 2018 will see the competition continue its combined structure of both the Premier Division 3rd and 4th grade teams and the Monaro First Division 1st and 2nd Grade teams competing against each other across 15 rounds. In total, there will again be 12 teams – 7 Premier Division (Canberra Royals, Eastern Suburbs/RMC, Gungahlin Eagles, Queanbeyan Whites, Tuggeranong Vikings, Uni-Norths Owls & Western District Lions), along with 5 Monaro First Division (Goulburn Dirty Reds, Hall Bushrangers, Cooma Red Devils, ADFA and Young Yabbies).
The competition will start on Saturday the 7th of April with competition byes on both the ACT Reconciliation Day and June long weekend. The Grand Final will take place on Saturday 18th August 2018. In 2017 the Gungahlin Eagles took home the First Division 1st Grade trophy defeating the Tuggeranong Vikings. While in the First Division 2nd Grade Grand Final Tuggeranong Vikings defeated the Queanbeyan Whites.
