Junior Gold Cup

900x600 1

The Junior Gold Cup underpins the Pathway to Gold – the ARU’s national talent development program. The JGC exists to support the long term development of potentially talented player in the U15 and U16 year groups through an accessible and nationally coordinated and consistent program delivered across Australia culminating in a competition program. Whilst the program targets player development, it also seeks to provide important quality exposure and development opportunities to coaches nationwide.

The JGC operates in 10 centres across Australia selecting the potential best young players in the U15 and U16 year groups. Approximately 500 players will be selected for this competition/program each year. The program is managed and coached by local staff who undergo training and professional development provided by the Brumbies and the ARU.

The 2018 Junior Gold Cup will be held in Sydney with Southern & Northern Conference tournament matches being played through 1-4 October. The Junior Gold Cup Grand Final will be played on Saturday, 6 October between the winner of each conference.
