The Performance Coaches Course (ARU Level 3 course) is run by the Australian Rugby Union. Interested and eligible coaches send an expression of interest to Brumbies Rugby, and their application must be supported by the Brumbies, before the application is forwarded on to the Australian Rugby Union. The ARU Level 3 course is the highest level of accreditation a rugby coach can achieve in Australia. The program is usually run on an annual basis, and coaches from across the country apply, so selection is by no means guaranteed, and spaces are limited.
The PCC involves 2 weekends of face to face courses facilitated at the start and end of the season by the Australian Rugby Union. The program also consists of a number of online courses as well as a number of assignments throughout the year. Coaches should be coaching at a high level of the game in Australia.
