Tomorrow the 2016 revived spring competition makes its way to Jindabyne this weekend. The Super 7s Series kicks off its first leg of the series, proudly hosted by Jindabyne Bush Pigs. With 18 teams divided into 3 divisions for women and girls, the Monaro region looks to host a full day tournament catering to the growing numbers in women’s rugby. It has also created history within our rural community, with the series encouraging clubs such as Braidwood to foster its first ever Women’s Rugby team, the Braidwood Black Widows. Teams from as far as Tumut. Narooma and the Far South Coast will travel to play in the tournament hosting over 30 games throughout the course of the day. The Super 7s Series is a 4 tournament series hosted across the ACT region Jindabyne, Goulburn, Braidwood and Canberra central, which will provide rising stars a platform for Brumbies selectors and potentially showcase future aspiring Olympians.
The Super 7s Series kicks off tomorrow at 9am to 4pm at Jindabyne Rugby Union Club, John Connors Oval, John Connors Oval Park Rd Jindabyne
